If you are thinking about a plot near the New Islamabad International Airport, the first practical question is simple: where exactly is it, and how long does it take to get there? Location is the one thing about a housing society that you can check yourself, on a normal day, with your own car. This guide explains where New Airport City (NAC) is, the official travel times, and how to plan a visit that tells you something useful.
Where is New Airport City?
New Airport City is on M-14 CPEC at Girja Link Road, Fateh Jang, near the New Islamabad International Airport. It is a gated community with a master plan by world-renowned town planner Meinhardt, with six communities, lakes and green zones. NAC is NOC Approved, issued by PHATA, the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency.
Why M-14 CPEC matters for this location
The M-14 is the motorway route that links this part of Punjab to the wider network, and it is the reason this area is being discussed by buyers in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and abroad. If you want the wider picture, read our post on why M-14 CPEC and the New Islamabad International Airport matter. Here we stay practical: how far is it, and how do you get there?
Official travel times
These are the official travel times from New Airport City:
- New Islamabad International Airport: 15 minutes
- M-2: 15 minutes
- New Blue Area: 25 minutes
- Rawalpindi: 30 minutes
- Faisal Mosque: 35 minutes

Travel times depend on traffic, weather and the time of day. Treat them as a guide, and test them yourself.
How to plan your first visit
1. Decide on a time. Visit on a weekday and, if you can, on a weekend too. Roads feel different at different times, and you want to see both.
2. Drive the route, do not just follow a pin. Note the turns, the road surface and the signs. Ask yourself how you would feel doing this trip every week.
3. Ask the team for directions in advance. Our team will share the route and the meeting point, and will tell you what you can see on site.
4. Bring a short list of questions. Plot categories, the master plan, the NOC and how payments are made.
5. Take photos and notes. Compare what you see with what you were told.
What you will see on site today
We believe in a simple idea: see it first, then decide. On site today you can see the green spaces and lakes, and visitors enjoy fishing and some kayaking. Development is not complete, and our team will tell you plainly what exists today and what is planned. The images on this page are renders that show the vision of the master plan. They are illustrative.
If you are visiting from abroad
Many of our visitors live in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK or Qatar and plan a visit on their next trip home. The airport is the natural starting point, so the 15 minute figure above is useful when you plan your arrival and your return flight. Tell the team your dates in advance and they will help you plan the day. Our post on the master plan explained is a good thing to read on the flight before you arrive, so you can find your way around the plan when you see the land.
Questions to ask on the day
- Can you show me the NOC, and how do I verify it with the official office?
- Where on the master plan is the plot category I am considering?
- What exists on site today, and what is planned?
- Which measure does the project use for plot sizes, and what are the exact dimensions?
- Do I pay only into the official company account?
A word on payments
Pay only into the official company account. Never pay into a personal account or an agent's account, and always collect an official receipt. If anything is unclear, contact the official office before you pay.
