Buying a plot is one of the biggest decisions a family makes. In Pakistan, many buyers, especially overseas Pakistanis buying from abroad, still pay on trust, a brochure or a phone call. A few simple checks before you pay can protect your savings. Here is a seven-step checklist you can use for any housing society, followed by how New Airport City answers each point. 1. Check the NOC and approval A housing scheme needs approval from the relevant authority before it can sell plots. In Punjab, schemes outside city limits are approved by PHATA. Ask for the NOC number and check it against the authority's own published list of approved schemes. Do not rely on a logo on a brochure. 2. See the master plan, and who made it A real project has a master plan prepared by a qualified planner. Ask who designed it, what share of land goes to roads, parks and public spaces, and where your plot sits on the plan. 3. Verify the location yourself Open the exact location on a map and look at the road access. Distance to motorways, airports and the city matters for both daily life and long-term value. 4. Visit the site Never buy only from pictures. Visit the land, walk the site and compare what you see with what you were told. Renders show a future vision; the site shows today. 5. Pay only into the official company account Make every payment to the developer's official bank account, never to a personal account, and always collect an official receipt. 6. Get your plot details in writing Make sure your plot number, size and payment schedule are written in your documents, and keep copies of everything you sign. 7. Be careful with big promises Words like "guaranteed returns" or "last chance today" are warning signs. A sound project explains its plan and lets you decide in your own time. How New Airport City answers the checklist Approval: New Airport City is a PHATA NOC-approved gated community. Master plan: designed by Meinhardt, with six communities, lakes and green zones. Location: on M-14 CPEC at Girja Link Road, Fateh Jang, near New Islamabad International Airport. Site visits: our approach is simple: see it first, then decide. Today the site has green spaces and lakes, with fishing and some kayaking. Payments: only into the official company account.
